Treadmill Review

The Bowflex TC200 treadclimber may be considered an incline trainer by some people but isn’t much of one, especially compared to NordicTrack incline trainers. The TC200 falling into the same price range of the X22i and it doesn’t stack up favorably.

  • The TC200 has a fixed incline range while the X22i has an incline range of -6% to 40%.
  • A 22” touchscreen is the display on the X22i while the TC200 has a small, backlit LCD screen.
  • The TC200 has a small, split deck with thin belts which compares poorly to the 22” wide and 60” long treadmill belt of the X22i.

While the TC200 treadclimber isn’t a bad machine, it certainly isn’t up to the standard of a real incline trainer.

Price

The TC200 is priced at $2,999.

The TC200 Is Built For Users who:

  • Want a small cardio machine - A small and compact machine, the TC200 can fit easily into small apartments or tight home gyms.
  • Have multiple people using it - There are 4 user profiles on the TC200 so various family members can have their workout information recorded.
  • Don’t need many workout programs - There are only 5 workout programs on the TC200, which won’t bother those who don’t need many programs.

Why The TC200 earned 2.3 stars out of 5

There were several things which stood out to us as we reviewed the TC200 which caused us to score the TC200 low.

  • Costly machine, minimal features - For a cardio machine which costs $2,999 there are few features on the TC200.
  • Limited warranty - The TC200 only has a 3-year warranty, which is startlingly short for any cardio machine.
  • Good primarily for walkers - As the TC200 can only go 4.5 MPH at top speed, this machine is best for those looking for a boost to their walking workouts.

The build quality seems a bit higher on the TC200 than on the TC100. But the parts are mostly light plastic aside from the metal frame and pistons. However, the warranty is short and we aren’t sure the TC200 will hold up in the long run.

Bottom Line Review Of The Bowflex TC200 Treadclimber

The idea behind the TC200 is good. Incline training will help burn calories faster and the TC200 combines the motion of a treadmill, stepper, and elliptical. However, it is a restricted machine and not a true incline trainer. For the same price, you can buy the X22i and have many more features available to you.

Best Place To Buy The Bowflex TC200 Treadclimber
