Gold’s Gym Trainer 410
Rating:
Reviewed by TreadmillReviews.com
The Gold’s Gym Trainer 410 is one the cheapest treadmills in the market. When buying budget treadmills like this one, it’s understandable that the features will be limited and the specs cut back a bit. The 410 however does a great job in still retaining some decent specs for this class of treadmill.
The 410 uses a 2.0 CHP motor which is strong enough to do a bit of light jogging on without there being any real problems. The deck uses a AirStride Plus cushioning system to lower impact on your joints and it does a fairly decent job, especially considering you shouldn’t be running to hard on this machine anyways. The tread belt is only 18″ x 50″, so it’s a little small to do anything more than just jogging.
If you’re a tall person you may have some difficulty with its size. The weight capacity is 300 pounds and the deck itself can incline up to 10%. There are 8 workout applications which is pretty good for the price that this machine is at. The stats like time, distance, and calories burned of the programs are displayed on a 5″ x 7″ LCD window. The usual treadmill features are included such as a folding design and heart rate grip monitors. One unusual inclusion is that the 410 comes with a hand weight set and the treadmill includes programs that incorporate the use of them.
Conclusion
Honestly when it comes to cheap, budget treadmills this one is probably the best for the cheapest. Some alternatives to look at however, would be the Horizon T101 and maybe even the ProForm Performance 400. Both these other models are a bit more expensive, but offer slightly better specs. If you just want a treadmill to do a bit light jogging every once and a while on a rainy day, then this machine would be a great pick for you.
