Freemotion 750 Interactive vs. Healthrider H155T

The two opponents for the day are the Freemotion 750 Interactive and the Healthrider H155T.

The Freemotion 750 Interactive and the Healthrider H155t are great competitors for this price range. The $1,299 price range is a fierce battlefield in the treadmill marketing world. There are a lot of treadmills competing at this price, and some of them are pretty dang good. These are two of the better treadmills in the class. It’s going to be a game of inches, but we’re going to figure out which one comes out on top in a closer look.

Today we’ll start with something different. We’ll get the features and extras out of the way first. The Freemotion offers Ifit live. IFit Live was yesterday’s luxury, but is quickly becoming today’s necessity. Soon all treadmills will have this. It’s an incredible program that allows your treadmill to record your progress online, let you race with others, be coached by Jillian Michaels, and create your own trails using Google Maps, and more. It adds a depth and richness to your relationship with your treadmill that wouldn’t be there otherwise. Unfortunately the Healthrider doesn’t offer that which is a big downside. As far as music goes, both treadmills have an Ipod/Mp3 Port with built in Acoustic 3.0 Speakers. Healthrider does take a nice swing back at the Freemotion with its 7″ flat screen panel TV built right in, along with its 4 statistical LED displays. The Freemotion’s 8″ blue backlit display can’t quite compete with a built in full color TV. The Healthrider takes another swing with its 32 built in workouts compared to Freemotion’s 24 workouts. Not that anyone uses all their workouts anyway, but if we’re going by numbers, healthrider takes the lead with those.

Let’s compare warranties. This is Freemotion’s time to shine…The Healthrider H155T offers a Lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, and 1 year on parts and labor. About average for a $1,300 treadmill. The Freemotion on the other hand has stepped it up to a 5 year warranty on parts, and 2 year warranty on labor, as well as the lifetime on the frame and motor! Who can compete with that? Well, there are a few, but not Healthrider. Freemotion takes a big advantage with that one. Warranties say a lot about how much confidence these companies have in their treadmills, and if they don’t have confidence in their treadmills, neither should you.

Now to the basics: The Freemotion has a 3.25 CHP motor, a treadbelt of 20″ x 60″, and a weight capacity of 350 lbs. The Healthrider is the exact same except that it has a slightly larger 3.5 CHP motor. Other than that, these main specs are identical. The 20″ x 60″ belt is great, it’s a bit frustrating to run on belts smaller than this because it feels cramped. So try to stay at the full 20″ x 60″ size belts. The frames are not welded, but are made of strong material so that they feel heavy and solid. both are covered by a lifetime warranty, but if i had to guess which would stay strong longer it would be the Freemotion, just judging from the feel, as well as the warranty.

It’s a pretty close game with these two. The Freemotion however, looks to be a the winner by a few inches. That warranty plays a big part in people’s decision to spend over $1000 on a treadmill, so it holds a lot of weight. The rest of the features are back and forth, so I’ll go ahead and include both links on here, but the Freemotion wins the battle and moves on to the next round.
